Magang builds another axle production line
Maanshan Iron and Steel Company (Magang) began building a new high-speed axle production line on 29 April, Kallanish learns.
Magang claims that this is the first dedicated high-speed axle production line in China. The steelmaker is investing CNY 163 million ($24.68m) on the 40,000 axles/year facility. Output will be targeted at high speed railway trains, heavy load urban railways and freight cars. It plans to start production in January 2017.
