Magang breaks 20mt output barrier
China's Ma'anshan Iron and Steel (Magang), part of Baowu Group, produced 20.97 million tonnes of crude steel in 2020, a record annual high, Kallanish notes.
Output increased 5.74% year-on-year. At the beginning of 2020, Baowu set the annual output goal of 20mt for Magang, and thereafter Magang reset the target to 18.2mt of pig iron and 20.02mt of crude steel.
