Lower US OCTG imports unlikely to budge prices
Lower OCTG import levels cannot hurt oil country tubular good prices, but they are not likely to bolster them either, market sources told Kallanish on Friday.
December OCTG imports totalled 46,175 tonnes, just a fraction of the 300,007t imported in December 2014. The latest Baker Hughes rig count, however, stands at 664 - down 1,086 from last year.
