Longteng Special hot tests new billet caster
China's Longteng Special Steel in Changshu, Jiangsu Province has successfully hot tested the No.3 continuous billet caster, which was constructed by Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited (CERI), Kallanish notes.
The commissioning is 27 days ahead of schedule. The steelmaker can now produce high-end steels, such as shipbuilding industry steel, wear-resistant steel ball steel, PC steel rod.
