Longmen develops new slag processing system
Shaanxi Longmen Steel, part of the Shaanxi Steel group, has successfully trialled a single-phase slag treatment process, Kallanish notes.
The upgrading project uses new technology with the capability of coping with 1 million tonnes/year of slag. Longmen plans to newly build eleven closed hot pits with water cooling and dust removal systems.
