Longs drive NLMK Middle East shipments increase
NLMK’s sales to the Middle East and Turkey grew 16% on-year in 2016 to 1.62 million tonnes, driven by a 570% surge in deliveries from its Russian Long Products division to 248,000t.
These sales in the quarter through December alone surged 39% on-year to 468,000t.
Sales from NLMK’s Russian Flat Products division, however, declined -3% in 2016 to 1.32mt.
