Lingyuan Steel upgrades converters

Lingyuan Iron & Steel's listed company will close three old 35-tonne converters and build a new 120-t converter. The new equipment is expected to produce billet for construction steel, Kallanish notes. The new converter will have 1.35 million tonnes/year of crude steel capacity.
