Lingyuan Steel marks operation of new EAF
China-listed Lingyuan Iron & Steel on Friday announced the official operation of its new 120-tonne electric arc furnace (EAF), Kallanish notes. This is about five months later than the original schedule.
The new EAF has 1.35 million tonnes/year of crude steel capacity, while the company has about 6m t/y of crude steel capacity in total.
