Lingang targets November for blast furnace operation
Linyi Iron & Steel Investment Group (Lingang) Special Steel intends to put the new 2,770m³ blast furnace at its high-end special steel plant into operation on 25 November, according to the construction contractor, China 20th Metallurgical Corporation (MCC20).
MCC20 has capped the BF, is positioning refractory materials inside the unit and is installing equipment. The furnace will add 2.31 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, Kallanish notes.
