Line pipe prices rise 86% over last year
Average line pipe prices increased in May by 3.5% to $3,783/short ton, up from $3,396/st in April, Kallanish learns from the latest Pipe Logix report.
Pipe prices for domestic line were up 2.4% while import prices were up 4.8%. Compared to prices last year, the average prices of line pipe are up 86%.
Shipments of line pipe were more than 110,000 st in March, but imports were down 27% in April to an estimated 90,000 st.
