Line pipe prices increase in July
US line pipe prices appear to have shot up in July, Kallanish learns from analyst Pipe Logix.
Domestic prices rose 11.5% to an average of $2,719/short ton, with import prices rising 9% to an average of $2,112/st. That yields an overall average of up 10.4% to $2,415/st.
Pipe Logix notes that cumulative price increases are up 80% since September 2020, largely due to skyrocketing skelp prices.
