Liberty restarts Rotherham, Stocksbridge for night operation
Liberty Steel UK (LSUK) has restarted its greensteel Rotherham facility for night operation to save on energy costs. The plant is running between 11pm and 6am when energy costs are lower.
Liberty is also restarting its speciality steel facility in Stocksbridge. The plant is resuming “focused production campaigns for key customers," the steelmaker says, and adds that it plans to ramp-up output to 50,000 tonnes/month.
