Liberty Czestochowa eyes output increase following ramp-up
Liberty Czestochowa says it plans to increase production to 1 million tonnes/year and boost its workforce after increasing output to the plant’s highest monthly levels since 2017.
The firm’s electric arc furnace meltshop produced over 57,000 tonnes of “greensteel” slab in July, up from 16,000t in January. The rolling mills upped output of heavy plate to 42,000t from 12,000t respectively. Ebitda in July was €7.1 million ($8.3m).
