Two Liaoning steelmakers delay BF construction
Haicheng Iron & Steel under Houying Group and Hengsheng Casting Company has delayed the plan to construct new blast furnaces, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of Liaoning Province.
The capacity replacement plan was announced in March 2017 (see Kallanish passim). Haicheng needs to demolish two 450-cubic meter blast furnaces and two 580-m3 BFs. It plans to construct two 1,350-m3 BFs. The iron capacity will transfer to …
