Yixin Special to build EAF instead of Liaogang
Liaoyang Iron & Steel (Liaogang) will no longer build a 70-tonne electric arc furnace (EAF), because the comapny has not met capacity addition requirements, according to a Liaoyang government announcement on 9 May. Liaoyang Yixin Special Steel (Yixin) will now build the EAF after acquiring the capacity quota, Kallanish notes.
