Liangang commissions first-phase silicon steel project
China’s Lianyuan Iron & Steel (Liangang) in Hunan Province officially put the first phase of its silicon steel project into production last week, Kallanish notes.
The company commenced construction in June 2022, with a total investment of CNY 9 billion ($1.24 billion). Phase II is expected to be commissioned in May 2025.
