Lhoist expands lime for steel capacity in Texas
Texas-based lime supplier Lhoist North America has received approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for the construction of a new lime kiln at its facility at Marble Falls, Texas, Kallanish reports.
The new vertical kiln, expected to be operational in 2021, will expand lime production capacity for the company following an increased demand for high purity dolomitic lime products in the steel industry.
