Lech Stahlwerke expands meltshop output
Lech Stahlwerke (LSW) is close to receiving the green light to permanently lift its permitted crude steel output from 1.1 million tonnes/year to 1.4m t/y.
The apparent expansion will not require major upgrades or adjustment at facilities. Technically, the mill over the years has become able to make 1.4m t/y, as it shortened standstill times and melting intervals at its electric arc furnace, Kallanish learns from a spokesman.
