Lebanon increases rebar intake from GCC
Lebanese rebar imports surged 181% on-year in October 2018 to 44,841 tonnes, according to Lebanese Customs data monitored by Kallanish.
In the ten months through October these imports reached 511,422t versus 506,670t in the entire full-year 2017. Ukraine supplied 178,860t, down from 335,313t in full-year 2017, but Saudi Arabia provided 167,292t versus just over 5,000t. Qatar supplied 30,656t versus zero in 2017.
