Latin America finished steel output rebounds in June
Latin American finished steel production showed signs of recovery in June. Output is however still far from last year’s volume, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers' association Alacero.
Finished steel output reached 3.1 million tonnes in June. This is up by almost 2.3% compared to May but -26% less on-year. Long steel accounted for 51.2% or 1.59mt of output, while flat steel amounted to 1.46mt and tube to 53,000t.
