Latin American steel output grows in May

South American and Mexican crude steel production increased month-on-month in May, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. South American output totalled 3.76 million tonnes in May, up 4.1% m-o-m. This volume, however, was 2.8% less compared to the volume of 3.87mt in the same period in 2021.
