Latin American sales lift Turkey’s April rebar exports
Turkish rebar exports continued their rise in April. Following their 19.5% on-year surge in March, exports soared 65.4% on-year in April to 641,059 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. This was mostly because they came from a low, Covid-19-impacted base. They were however also up from 614,075t in March.
Average sales price increased to $601.7/tonne versus $438/t in April 2020 and $562/t in March.
