Latin American finished steel demand to increase: worldsteel
Latin American finished steel demand should grow by 6.2% on-year during 2018 to 70.8 million tonnes, according to worldsteel`s April 2018 short range outlook (SRO). This represents an increase of 3.8mt compared to 2017 when demand was at 67.3mt. The region is estimated also to increase its demand by 4.9% in 2019 to 73.3mt. Latin America in this context includes South and Central American countries together with Mexico.
