Latin American crude steel output falls in February
South American and Mexican crude steel production decreased year-on-year in February, according to the latest data from the World Steel Association (worldsteel) monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 3.37 million tonnes in February, just -0.9% down y-o-y. During the first two months, crude steel production was 6.70mt or -6.0% less than in January-February 2019.
