Latin American September crude steel output rises slightly
South American and Mexican crude steel production increase slightly year-on-year in September, according to latest data from the World Steel Association (worldsteel) monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 3.81 million tonnes in September, up by only 1.0% y-o-y. During the first nine months of 2018 crude steel production was 33.16mt or 2.5% more than in January-September 2017.
