Latin American crude steel output grows in July
South American and Mexican crude steel production increased year-on-year both monthly and cumulative in July, according to data from the World Steel Association (worldsteel) monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 3.88 million tonnes in July, up by 7.7% y-o-y. During the first seven months of 2018 crude steel production amounted to 25.95mt or 4.5% more on the same period in 2017.
