Latin American crude steel output grows in February
South American and Mexican crude steel production increased year-on-year in February, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 3.51 million tonnes in February, 2.2% more y-o-y. Output was however 6.2% down compared to January’s volume of 3.74mt. During the first two months, crude steel production amounted to 7.26mt, 6.6% more than in January-February 2020.
