Latin America props up Turkey's October billet exports
Latin American demand helped Turkish billet exports rise again sequentially in October to 75,143 tonnes, exceeding September shipments by 34%. They were however down -2% on-year, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
HS code 720711 billet accounted for 69,284t, of which 40,007t went to Peru, 14,264t to Tunisia and 10,000t to El Salvador. Turkey’s stalwart market this year, Morocco, was nowhere to be seen in Octob…
