LatAm steel trade deficit narrows in May
Latin America's steel trade deficit narrowed in May to 1.8 million tonnes. This was almost 10.7% weaker than in April but 1.2% more year-on-year, Kallanish learns from the steel producers association Alacero.
The deficit for the first five months of 2024 was almost 8.57mt, widening by 16.2% compared with 7.38mt in the same period a year earlier.
