Latin America's September steel trade deficit narrows
Latin America saw its steel trade deficit narrow on-month in September, according to steel producers' association Alacero. The deficit was 784,400 tonnes, almost -3.4% lower over August and 242,000t less on-year, Kallanish notes. Nine-month regional finished steel trade deficit was 1.91 million tonnes, down by -18.1% on-year.
