LatAm trade deficit narrows in June
Latin America saw its steel trade deficit narrow month-on-month in June to 1.88 million tonnes, almost 8.5% less over May. It was, however, 88% wider year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
This was the third-highest monthly deficit so far this year after it exceed 2mt both in April and May, according to steelmakers’ association Alacero.
