LatAm crude steel output remains depressed in July
South America saw July crude steel production fall year-on-year, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Brazil was the only country to improve performance.
The region's crude steel output totalled 3.12 million tonnes in July, down -6.1% over the same period in 2019. In the first seven months of this year, crude steel production amounted to 20.81mt, down -17.2% over January-July last year.
