LatAm steel trade deficit widens in August
Latin America saw its steel trade deficit widen on-month in August, according to steel producers' association Alacero. The deficit was 840,900 tonnes, 12.7% higher over July but 495,900t less on-year, Kallanish notes. Eight-month regional finished steel trade deficit was 2.71 million tonnes, down by -17.3% on-year.
