LatAm steel trade deficit widens
Latin America's steel trade deficit narrowed sequentially in December 2023 to 1.4 million tonnes. This was almost 13.9% smaller than in November but 22.9% higher year-on-year, Kallanish learns from steel producers association Alacero data.
The 12-month deficit was almost 20.1mt, widening by 44.5% compared with 13.9mt in 2022.
