LatAm 2020 steel production declines despite December recovery
South American and Mexican crude steel production fell in 2020. In December alone, however, regional output rose on-year, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 38.15 million tonnes in 2020, -8.4% down on-year. December production reached 3.65mt, 16.3% higher y-o-y.
