Langxi Hongtai begins equipment installation for EAF project
Langxi Hongtai Iron & Steel in Anhui province has started to install equipment for its new electric arc furnace project, which is being constructed by China 17th Metallurgical Corporation (MCC17), Kallanish reports.
The main equipment includes a 128-tonne EAF with 980,000 tonnes/year of crude steel capacity, and two high-speed bar and wire rod production lines with 800,000 t/y of bar and 600,000 t/y of wire rod capacity respectively.
