Laiwu Steel sets record daily output
After the refurbishment of its No.2 blast furnace, the ironmaking plant of Shandong Iron & Steel's Laiwu Steel subsidiary produced 539,607 tonnes of iron in May, completing 107.92% of its monthly plan. The pass rate of pig iron reached 99.88%, Kallanish notes.
On 30 May, the plant’s output of pig iron reached 18,691 t/day, a new record daily high since the plant was built ten years ago.
