Laigang orders blast furnaces from MCC19
MCC19 landed an order on 7 August from Laiwu Iron & Steel (Laigang), part of Shandong Iron & Steel, to construct two 3,800-cubic-metre blast furnaces and other facilities, Kallanish notes.
The project in Jinan city will have 6.08 million tonnes/year iron capacity. Commissioning for the first BF is due at the end of July 2021 with completion of the second furnace at the end of October 2022.
