China's Laigang hot tests rebar mill
China’s Laigang Yongfeng Iron & Steel in Shandong province has recently completed hot testing its 1 million tonnes/year rebar mill, Kallanish notes. The rebar plant was built by the Shanghai Baoye Group with equipment supplied by Germany’s SMS Group.
The plant will be able to roll straight bars and rebar-in-coil in diameters of 8-32mm. Yongfeng is already installing 1.87m t/y of replacement EAF steelmaking capacity. Two contin…
