Lahore industry chamber calls for steel industry 'rehabilitation'
The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has urged Pakistan’s government to rehabilitate steel melters, which it says are in “… deep trouble” because of the electricity general sales tax.
This tax should be reduced to four rupees from the existing nine rupees, “… which is very high and one of the biggest reasons of high input cost of the steel melting industry,” according to chamber president Sheikh Muhamma…
