Kyoei Steel to expand US operations
Kyoei Steel has updated its North American expansion plan with the construction of a new mill and upgrade to existing rolling mill equipment at the Vinton Steel plant in Texas, Kallanish notes.
Kyoei estimates the cost of its expansion at $230 million. The move is expected to increase production by 20% to 300,000 net tons/year. Additionally, the firm expects to reduce production costs by improving efficiency.
