Kyoei Steel buys Texas rebar bill
The Vinton,Texas, rebar mill of Bayou Steel Group has been purchased by Japan’s Kyoei Steel, Kallanish learns from asset management firm Black Diamond.
Black Diamond, which holds Bayou Steel Group in its investment portfolio, will retain the Bayou brand and facilities in LaPlace, Louisiana; Harriman, Tennessee; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Chicago, Illinois; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
