Kuwait retail rebar gains, importers book before hike
Kuwait rebar prices in the retail segment have improved as a result of the price increase announced by local rebar producers last Thursday, Kallanish notes.
"The hike announcement was expected at the beginning of the month but came with a two-week delay. Rebar importers have already booked based on local mills' previous effective prices [KD 180-182/tonne ex-mill], which will benefit them more than local rebar distributors,” says a local source.
