Kuwait rebar sales increase, Iraq market weak
In Kuwait, Covid-19 Omicron variant cases are increasing, which has prompted an increase in steel import activity as traders foresee a risk of border closure as part of lockdown measures, Kallanish notes.
In the local retail market, rebar is offered at KD 220-222/tonne ($728-735).
