Kuwait rebar market slows on further price hike
Kuwait's retail rebar market has becalmed after prices increased for a second time in March. Last Wednesday, 8-40mm diameter rebar retail prices were hiked by KD 20/tonne to KD 295/t ($969), Kallanish notes.
Kuwait’s largest steel producer, Unisteel, also revised its 8-40mm dia rebar quotes valid for new orders to KD 285/t ($936) ex-mill, meaning a KD 20/t increase from the last round of sales.
