Kuwait imported retail rebar prices fall
The Kuwait rebar market is seeing stiff competition between material from United Arab Emirates and the local supplier.
In the secondary, retail, market, imported rebar from UAE is offered at KD 183/tonne ($597), whereas local material is at KD 188/t ($613), both delivered on a cash payment basis. Traders are aiming to deplete their stocks and, due to the competition between them, sales prices are lower than their costs in some cases, Kallanish learns.
