Kumba maintains guidance despite third-quarter sales slump

South Africa-listed Kumba Iron Ore, a subsidiary of Anglo American, says it should meet 2023 guidance of 35-37 million tonnes of output and 36-38mt of sales. This is despite third-quarter sales declining 11.6% on-year and 6.2% on-quarter to 8.87mt, due to Transnet equipment failures and weather conditions at Saldanha Bay Port, Kallanish notes.
