Kumba lifts Q2 iron ore sales, output declines
Aligning its production to port and rail operator Transnet's logistics performance, Kumba's iron ore output declined 1% on-quarter and 1.5% on-year in the second quarter to 9.18 million tonnes. This roughly matched a 2% decrease in ore railed to port. However, Q2 sales grew 12% on-quarter and 1% on-year to 9.55mt, Kallanish notes.
