Kuantan steelworks project gets new wire rod line

Australia’s JC International Group has signed a labour services contract for the construction of a wire rod line at the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park in Malaysia. The contract is for eight months, suggesting that the planned 600,000 tonnes/year high-speed wire rod mill will be commissioned by the end of January 2018, Kallanish notes.
