Kuantan's Union hot tests continuous caster
A Chinese overseas steel investment project in Malaysia's Kuantan has successfully hot tested its first seven-strand continuous billet caster on 1 March, according to project contractor Shanghao Baoye Group. Union Iron & Steel is targeting both domestic and south-east Asian markets for H-beams and other construction steel products, Kallanish notes.
